The Granville Theatre Access Scheme

At The Granville Theatre, we are dedicated to making sure every guest has a spectacular experience. As we move into this exciting new chapter with our own box office, we are proud to introduce the Granville Theatre Access Membership Scheme. This is a tiered process designed to ensure every guest receives the right support while staying fully in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Under this new scheme, paying visitors who require an essential carer to accompany them in order to visit our theatre are eligible to bring one essential carer at a discounted rate. To ensure this process is fair and consistent.

Nimbus states “The +1 symbol represents the right to a free or reduced-price ticket for your essential companion to support you to access a venue’s facilities. This is not a buy one get one free scheme but a reasonable adjustment to enable you to attend an event you otherwise would not be able to.”

Please note: All information provided with your application will be deleted once the application has been reviewed.

    • Individuals who are blind or severely sight impaired.

    • Wheelchair Users

At The Granville Theatre accessibility is our top priority. We believe theatre and entertainment should be an enjoyable experience for everyone, and it is our mission to strive for the best service possible for those with disabilities.

Wheelchair Spaces

We have 2 wheelchair spaces located in Row V of the auditorium, with seats located next to each space for a carer/companion.

Please note: These seats must be booked through an access account and will not show up on the general booking link.

Your Visit

Accessibility customers can enter our venue via a ramp that is situated at the front of our building, providing access to the bar and toilet facilities. An access toilet is also available at the back of the auditorium.

When it is time for you to take your seats a member of our team will escort you to the side entrance of the auditorium, where an usher will take you to your seats.

Who is eligible?

Essential Companion tickets are intended for customers requiring additional support. This must be due to disability-related needs, significant and in excess of what could be reasonably expected of family or friends already accompanying you.

By accepting this ticket your companion, who must be aged over 16, accepts responsibility for providing the additional support you require to access our venues and services, including in an emergency situation or evacuation and must be capable and available to provide this support throughout your visit.
